BALLOON CELEBRATION

The background of this card has been created using the spritzing technique and Rose Red reinker.

I then stamped some clouds in Soft Sky, because of the spritzed background underneath the clouds are very soft, blending in with the background.

I then used a combination of the Balloon Celebration stamp set and balloon punch to create the remainder of the card. The colours I used in this card are Rose Red, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White and Pink Pirouette.

WASHI WEDNESDAY #7

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I know I missed last week, due to a blog hop commitment but as requested I have another washi Wednesday for you today. This time I have used the washi tape as a background feature.

The sentiment for this Thank you card is from Suite Sentiments, stamped in Melon Mambo. The bling on the card is actually rhinestones that are coloured black with a sharpie marker.

As with most uses for washi, it is a quick way to create interest on a project. If you haven't given washi a chance, I suggest that you do. Feel free to share any of your ideas, as I am sure that the uses are almost never ending.

Thanks for joining me today,
Rosalie

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 13th Wedding Anniversary. It's been a day of fun, surprises, pretty flowers and its not over yet.

This is the card that I made for my husband.

A lovely lady by the name of Rosalie Young, reminded me this morning of a technique I had used last year called Joseph Coat. So that got me thinking, I can use this technique with Designer Series Paper.

I used Blooms and Wishes Designer Series Paper as my base and then clear embossed images from the Moroccan Nights stamp set. I then wiped the paper directly on the Emerald Envy ink pad and cover the piece of DSP with the ink. I then wiped the excess ink off with a tissue.

The designer paper was then matted on Island Indigo with a card base of Tempting Turquoise. "Happy" is from the Hello You thinlits and  cut out on the Big Shot. The "you are my" stamp is from the Sunshine Sayings set, using Island Indigo ink.

Thank you for joining me,

Rosalie

BRIGHT & CHEERY BIRTHDAY

I had a little fun playing with some reinkers. I simply dropped some ink of the Whisper White card stock and then sprayed some water on top and let the ink spread a little before I used the heat gun to dry the card. I used Island Indigo, Rose Red and Crushed Curry.

Here is the card that I created with my fun background.

I then added a Whisper White "HAPPY" which was cut out using the Hello You thinlits on the big shot. The "Birthday" was from the Crazy About You stamp set.

SO VERY MUCH

One of my favourite things to do is to make customer thank you cards.

I made this one today with one of the background pieces I made yesterday when I was trying out spritzing. The colours of reinkers I placed in the bottle to create this were Rose Red with Crushed Curry. I then spritzed some Wink of Stella over the top.

The sentiment comes from the So Very Much stamp set which is available for FREE during Sale-a-Bration, with every order over $90AUS. This offer is only valid for 7 more days!!!

The circle decorations in the corners are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set which is  in the 2016-2017 Annual catalogue.

Thank you for joining me today,
Rosalie

LOVE SPARKLES - INSPIRED BY FAIRY FLOSS

I am joining in with this weeks Global Design Project Challenge. This weeks theme is Amusement Park.

With this is mind, my card is inspired by fairy floss.

To create the background I used Rose Red reinker in a spritzer with some water and sprayed it on Whisper White cardstock. The background reminded me of pretty pink of fairy floss. I then put some rubbing alcohol and some clear wink of stella in a spritz bottle and sprayed it on the background to give it a sparkle. I used the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Rose Red to add a little more texture to the card. "Celebrate" from the Love Sparkles stamp set was then stamped on a small piece of Whisper White in Rose Red. I cut out two of the small images from the Sunshine Wishes Die and added them to the card.

My lovely friend Ellen, thought my card would look better on a Pink Pirouette card base, so this is for her.

I hope you see the yummy, sugary colours of fairy floss in my card just like I do.

Thank you for joining me today,
Rosalie

INSPIRED BY ALASKA BLOG HOP

Today I have an amazing opportunity for you. I am taking part in the Aim for Alaska Blog Hop and I would like you to join me.

What is Aim for Alaska, you may ask? Aim for Alaska is an amazing training and support group for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, run by Kylie Bertucci. One of the amazing opportunities that Stampin' Up! provide their demonstrators is the ability to earn a trip each year. The current trip we are striving for is a trip to Alaska!

When I think about Alaska I think of the crystal blue waters, the amazing green trees and the pure white sparkly snow. With this in mind, this is what I made.

You may wonder how I made my background. The answer is emboss resist. I used the splatter stamp from Touches of Texture and clear embossed. I then used sponge daubers to add colour.

These are the colours I used in the background.

I then stamped the ship from the Traveler stamp set in smoky slate on some vellum and cut it out using the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The image reminds me of a cruise ship.
I then added a few metallic enamel shapes to finish it off.

Thanks for joining me. I hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

DRAGONFLY DREAMS - What Will You Stamp?

I have some exciting news to share, as I was lucky enough to win the What Will You Stamp? challenge a couple of weeks ago, I have been asked to be a guest designer this week. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone creates. I hope you join in on the fun and you may be the next guest designer.

At What Will You Stamp? this week we are using the  Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set.

I have used this stamp set a number of times in the last couple of months. Even though there is a beautiful dragonfly image in the set, I decided to do something a little different this time.

I used the spotted stamp to create a background in Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder and embossed silver.

The bee was created using silver embossing powder on Whisper White cardstock.

Thanks for joining me,
Rosalie

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP WITH RACHEL TESSMAN

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Rachel Tessman. She is such a talented crafter. You should check out her blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

This is what I was inspired to create.

I used a range of colours to create my card as I wanted it to be mutil-coloured.

This is Rachel's amazing projects that inspired my card.

Rachel used the sponge daubers to create the circles, which I thought was a very simple yet very effective technique. So I used this same technique on Sheltering Tree. As a final touch I added a Tempting Turquoise heart from the enamel shapes.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

INSIDE THE LINES SALE-A-BRATION

Only 14 more days left of Sale-a-Bration!!!!

Only 14 more days for you to earn FREE products or to make the most of the joining special.

One of the first things I choose during Sale-a-Bration was the Inside the Lines Designer Paper. I earned it for FREE with a purchase of $90.  The moment I saw the catalogue, I just had to have it. The Inside the Lines Designer Paper uses an adult colouring art for its concept.

This time I used Stampin' Write markers to colour the paper. I used three colours to create this design.

The sentiment for this card comes from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

I used Bermuda Bay, Smokey Slate and Basic Black in this card. I love how these colours work together. Once I started putting this card together I knew straight away who it was for and stamped my sentiment accordingly. Now to get it to them :)

Thanks for joining me today,
Rosalie

BLEACHING TECHNIQUE with SO VERY MUCH & HEY, CHICK

Last week I had major computer problems and my computer would not respond at all. My brother-in-law came to the rescue (thinking about it now, I should of made him a super hero card). So I made him this thank you card using the So Very Much & Hey, Chick stamp sets from the 2017 Sale-a-Bration  Catalogue.

I had to make it a little special inside the card as well.

I used the bleaching technique for the chicks body and also the egg inside the card. To colour the chicken hair I used a combination of bleach, chocolate chip, and crumb cake.

If you love either of these stamp sets and are wanting them, they can be earned for FREE during Sale-a-Bration (which ends 31st March. 2017) with every $90AUS purchase. To purchase any Stampin' Up! items please go to my shop now button on the right hand side. Thanks for stopping by,

FLOURISH THINLITS FOR EVERYDAY OCCASIONS

Here is todays card. I hope you love it as much as I do.

I know I have been using the Irresistibly Floral Designer Paper a lot lately, it must be because I love it so much. If you love it, chop it as Kylie Bertucci would say. #loveitchopit

I used Flourish Thinlits as my main focus on the card

GIFT OF LOVE #GDP077

A colour challenge is always good for my creativity. It helps give me some direction. Today I am creating using the colour challenge from the Global Design Project.

A simple card for any occasion.

The Gift of Love Stamp Set which is one of the hostess sets in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue produces lovely cards using a delicate flower design. The colouring of both the leaves and the flowers are actually stamps which are part of this set.

Here is the colour challenge I used with my colour of choice - Soft Sky, which I used on the Whisper White background to give the look of sky behind the flower.

WASHI WEDNESDAY #5

Hi and welcome to the 5th post in my Washi Wednesday series.

One of the wonderful factors of washi tape, is how quickly it is to use. Today I am giving you an example of a way to quickly use washi to give a room a little pop of colour.

I removed the light switch  cover from my daughters room while she was outside playing - sneaky. I gave it a quick wipe down with some rubbing alcohol to clean the surface.

I simply added strips of the different washi to the cover.

If she decides at any point that she no longer likes pink or just wants a change, it is easy to remove with little fuss or time.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you join me again soon,
Rosalie
